Also know as (lat.) gelidium armansii,
gelidium cartilagineum, gelosio, E406, agar-agar is the
extract of some seaweeds of the gelidacee family, dried
and processed.
Agar-agar is a yellowish powder, nearly adourless.
Insoluble in cold water and ethanol, soluble in hot water.
Presents incompatibility with alcohol and tannic acid.
