Also known as Damar Mata Kuching, originates in south sumatra and Central Borneo (Indonesia).

It is the solidified exudate of Damar trees and its appearance is of light ivory-yellow drops and pleasant odour, easily breakable.

To achieve exudation, several incisions are made to the trunks of trees.
Drops of the gum accumulate in such incisions and dry, after which they are collected, cleaned and sorted by size.
