Guar Gum is obtained from the ground endosperm of the guar seed (Cyamposis Tetragonolobus, family of the Leguminosae).

Known and used for a long time , guar gum has an old history as source of nutrition.

Mainly grown in India and pakistan, the guar plant is very resistant to estremely dry conditions in semiarid regions.
